Toby Shaw was born in Santa Barbara, CA at the age of zero. After that, some stuff happened...

At the age of 5 Toby discovered that two good things don't always make a better thing when he put chocolate chips on a marinara pizza.

At the age of 15 Toby was suckered into doing his first play by his sister. He played Sitting Bull, despite being very white, in 'Indians' by Arther Kopit and he received glowing reviews from his mother.

During his High School years he also became involved in a circus camp as a councilor and then later as a Juggling and Prop Manipulation teacher.​ This is not relevant to the plot, but still an interesting tid bit.

​At the age of 19 Toby left the country for the first time to study clowning at the Estudio Busqueda de Pantomima-Teatro in Guanajuato, Mexico. After returning to the states he started studying at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (or PCPA for the scant of breath).
​
After graduating PCPA Toby spend 4 months traveling Europe and hasn't been able to shake the wanderlust yet. He has been employed as a performer in 6 countries and has been unemployed in over 15.

He moved to New York in 2006 and has been plying his trade there ever since. Toby has always had a love for creative expression, travel, good food, and talking in the third person.
